  Wooden teeth, jelly beans, and government… what’s the connection?  Participate in this Passports journey and find out!  By engaging in this exploration, students will learn interesting facts about various presidents and the nature of elections.    Explore the relationship between humans and animals through the eyes of a veterinarian! Students will learn about animal medicine. Students will gain insight into the general environment of a veterinary clinic, understand the education and training process required to become a veterinarian, and learn about the skills and knowledge essential for success.   Students will explore the special relationship between humans and animals at the zoo. Students will understand the role zoos play in fostering appreciation and wonder by exposing people to animals that may otherwise only be seen in the wild.

  A terrifically fun tale about different animals! A boy trys on different tails to see how they would affect him. This brightly animated story introduces kids to interesting animal facts. Kids will be able to make animal noises, discuss animals they would like to be and even learn a thing or two! Each Story Book session also introduces kids to the idea of author and illustrator and the parts of a book.   Where does the food we eat come from? Students will learn about agriculture, building an understanding of the roles of farmers, the use of agricultural tools, and the physical characteristics of different regions in the United States.   Students learn about the highly trained people who ensure our safety and keep the peace. By participating in this Passports exploration, students will understand the diverse set of skills police officers need to effectively do their jobs.

  Students will go on a video tour of the Mission San Diego de Alcala, San Juan Capistrano Mission, and the Santa Barbara Mission. Dr. Jack Williams will describe the significance of these missions to California and American history. He will also describe what life was like for people who lived in the missions.
  Ah, the joys of writing! Students will learn about the profession of writing and illustrating from Robert San Souci, the award winning children’s book author. Hearing about the author’s background and passions will inspire students to follow their creative interests! Robert San Souci retells traditional tales and among his collection of wonderful stories is Fa Mulan based on the nearly 2,000-year-old "Ballad of Mulan". Robert San Souci wrote the film story for Disney's Mulan.   What's it like to be a Hollywood TV star when you're a Hamster!!?? Join Miriam Porter for this fantastic new passport for National Pet Care Week.
Miriam has worked on several TV shows and movies where the lead characters have been pets, and she joins your classes to give kids the low down on how these pets are cared for and how they learn how to act!
Students will also learn pet care tips for their own furry friends as well as the importance of kindness and compassion towards animals. You can bet this passport will be tons of fun!
