Taffy Corbett grew up
in Pennsylvania and Florida in a house with lots of kids (2 brothers,
2 sisters and friends) and lots of pets which became her inspiration
for her illustrations. Her father was a businessman and is a talented
painter and her mother was a stay at home mom and great art critic
for her family. Her mother was also an expert weaver, seamstress,
knitter, craftsman and teacher of creativity which planted the
seed for Taffy's art career. |

She attended high school
in Neptune Beach Florida and then graduated from the University
of North Florida with a Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design. She
later moved to Scottsdale, Arizona where she worked as a production
artist for a small daily newspaper, the Scottsdale Progress, where
she learned how to layout and design newspaper advertisements.
She then worked for Jostens Learning Corporation as a graphic
designer and art director for 4 years and has now had her own
design studio for 16 years working as a designer and illustrator.
Taffy designs such things as websites, blogs, logos, annual reports,
and brochures, and illustrates packaging, stickers, greeting cards,
and children's books. She's married to Peter Corbett who is a
reporter and columnist for the Arizona Republic. They have two
children, Kelly and Austin, and enjoy doing anything with them!
Her children have now become her inspiration for a children's
book that she is writing and illustrating. As a family they play
tennis and baseball, hike, and snowboard. Taffy's other hobbies
include reading and running. And, of course...they love animals! |
